Champions Oncology

Champions Oncology is an oncology CRO specializing in preclinical and clinical specialty testing. Its services are built on a bank of more than 1,400 clinically annotated patient-derived models with multi-omic data, used for in vivo PDX studies, ex vivo models, bioanalysis, biomarker assays, molecular testing and data analysis.

Preclinical Oncology Studies

• Evaluate oncology therapeutics in in vivo efficacy models, including studies of cell therapy and immuno-oncology agents.
• Run studies in TumorGraft patient-derived xenograft models, including pretreated and KRAS-mutant models, and in TumorGraft3D and VitroScreen ex vivo tumor models. ImmunoGraft humanized models support preclinical immunotherapy research, and radiopharmaceuticals are tested in the same PDX models.

Clinical Trial Biomarker Testing

• Run clinical-study biomarker assays using NGS, PCR, immunohistochemistry, Luminex/ELISA, and flow cytometry on GCLP-compliant platforms.
• Measure protein-expression changes in clinical trial samples through multiplexed Luminex or ELISA immunoassays, with clinical sample processing, logistics, and analysis.

Discovery, Bioanalysis, and Translational Work

• Develop, optimize, and validate customized assays in the clinical specialty laboratory for complex preclinical and clinical endpoints.
• Analyze NGS and proteomic data through the Lumin platform and bioinformatics team, and support antibody-library screening for ADCs with ADC-Flow, chemotype selection and SAR with ChemiSelect, target identification and mechanism-of-action studies.
