Medix Biochemica supplies raw materials for in vitro diagnostic manufacturing, including antibodies, antigens, molecular reagents and proteins. It also provides biospecimens, research assays, antibody discovery, IVD development and manufacturing support.

Research Reagents and Biological Materials

• Source antibodies, antigens, enzymes and other proteins for diagnostic and life-science research applications, including immunoassays, calibrators, controls and biological activity assays.
• Source ethically sourced human biospecimens, bulk biologicals, and processed plasma and serum for the IVD market, from single samples to bulk volumes, standard or customized. Medix also sells ELISA and ELISpot kits and assays for research across species.

Molecular and Cell-Based Workflows

• Support molecular diagnostic assay development with MedixMDx, its molecular diagnostic reagent and master-mix line. Its engineered DNA polymerases include the Volcano family, which detects RNA by PCR without a separate RNA extraction or reverse-transcription step, and HiDi® DNA polymerase, built for precise mismatch discrimination.
• Develop and validate research assays using binding (including bio-layer interferometry for kinetic and affinity characterization), cell-health and FC-mediated activity formats, with primary cells and transformed cell lines available for custom or routine analyses. Medix also supports monoclonal antibody discovery through hybridoma development, phage display and functional screening.

IVD Development and Manufacturing

• Develop custom IVD assays and provide analytical support for assay development and execution, with turnaround typically within about three weeks.
• Contract-manufacture IVD materials including antibodies, antigens, enzymes, molecular diagnostic reagents, polymerases and master mixes; supported manufacturing activities include lyophilization.
